To effectively study for the GED exam, you need to know what you’ll be tested on. This will ensure you study the right materials and increase your chances of passing the test.
- The GED test is composes of five sections:
- Language Arts Writing
- Language Arts Reading
- Mathematics
- Science
- Social Studies
Each test consists of approximately six sections. The language arts writing portion requires you to write an essay. However, you are not required to have an expertise in any particular subject. The purpose of the essay is to determine if you know how to write. The GED test consists mostly of multiple choice questions; although you will be required to read short passages and think critically about the subject.
