The training course was 6 months long, the tuition fee was $50 and the curriculum included administration of anesthetic agents, anatomy & physiology and pharmacology . The following decade, 19 more nurse anesthetist schools opened.

There are several good nurse anesthetist schools in Texas that offer training programs for registered nurses. However, before you enrol yourself, you must have a RN license. A Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) is preferable, but in some anesthetist training course, a simple bachelor’s degree in any medical-related course can be considered. At least a 1 yr of experience in medical-surgical ward or any acute care settings (i.e medical ICU) is also necessary to improve your resume for your nurse anesthetist school application.
